I am over the moon that my old friend and my first mentor Bob Cole has brought back KOKE-FM radio to Austin, Texas. When it comes to outlaw country and the Austin sound KOKE-FM is the station that started it all. For me too. I got my broadcasting start at KOKE radio and Bob was our morning man. He started young in radio like me and was sooooooooo tolerant of the annoying 16 year old asking all the questions and advice. Willie Nelson helped put KOKE on the map and now Bob and friends have brought it back. Thank you to another alma mater of mine KXAN TV for the news story!
